Four Week Study about the faith

Beginning  Monday, April 20th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, we will have a series of only four classes in order for people to learn more about their faith. These classes will be meant to have discussions and answer questions and not just lectures. Please join us. They are meant for people inquiring about the faith as well as people raised in the faith. The weeks and topics will be as follows:

Week 1: Monday, April 20, “On this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!”
What is the Church? What makes us unique as the body of Christ? Are all “churches” or “denominations” the same? Is it all one God?

Week 2: Monday, April 27, “What role does the Bible play in the life of the Church?”
We will ask questions like where did the Bible come from? When was the New Testament codified? What is the place of the Bible within the Church and what happens to it when it is removed from the life of the Church?

Week 3: Monday, May 4, “The Sacraments or Mysteries of the Church: What role do the sacraments or mysteries of the Church play in our lives?”

Week 4: Monday, May 11, “The Mission of the Church and where does our parish fit in to that mission”
